Vehicle wrap advertising is the best way for a business to advertise and promote its services, and is often used instead of expensive paint jobs.   The vinyl sheets can be removed easily, which drastically reduces the costs associated with changing advertisements.  Most of the attention placed on vinyl graphics involves how to put them on, but it is also important to remember that they must eventually come off, as well.

Sooner or later, you’ll need to remove old vinyl before you can install your new graphic.  At Car Pretty, we understand that it’s important to have vehicle wrap removal and reinstallation services at your fingertips
The common approaches to removing a vehicle wrap range from basic to advanced, with costs ranging from pennies to hundreds of dollars. Determining which approach is right for you depends on the kind of vehicle that needs service, and the kind of wrap that was initially installed.  At Car Pretty, our dedicated technicians are ready to walk you through the decision making process to ensure that your vehicle wrap removal or reinstallation process goes smoothly.

The removal process involves several steps.  The heat stage of removal relies on one of our skilled technicians and a blow torch.  Starting at an edge or a seam, the vinyl is lightly heated with the flame, and then pulled off of the vehicle. Getting the amount of heat right is a science; too much heat results in a bubbling, smoking, burnt mess that will be even more difficult to remove, and too little heat results in stuck vinyl. At Car Pretty, our installation technicians use their knowledge and their skills to apply just the right amount of heat.

After the heating stage, large patches of vinyl are removed, and then the vehicle goes through a detail stage. This involves using a rubber squeegee, and again a torch if necessary, to get rid of any smaller pieces of vehicle wrap vinyl that are stubbornly holding on. This stage is important when we’re dealing with vehicle graphics or partial wraps that involve small decals.  After all of the vinyl is removed, the next step is the cleaning stage.  The vinyl leaves behind a sticky residue that needs to be removed before the car can be rewrapped. Our technicians wipe your vehicle down with a powerful chemical removal in order to leave your car as clean and bright as the day it was first wrapped.

Keep in mind that because of the knowledge and experienced required, not to mention the combination of fire and specialized chemicals, it is recommended that you have your vehicle wrap removed by a professional. At Car Pretty, our skilled technicians are happy to assist you with both vehicle wrap removal, and vehicle wrap installation.  We pride ourselves in providing quality services, and we are happy to answer any questions that might arise.
